Grace KellyWorking for the Dreamers
This new fresh sound blends genuine lyrical expression, memorable dreamy melodies, infectious grooves, and soulful jazz inspired saxophone playing. Grace Kelly is a truly unique artist. You have heard the name before from the movies but perhaps heard this 21year old Korean American singer/songwriter/saxophonist. Grace wrote her first song when she was 7 years old, recorded her first out of 8 independently released CD’s at 12, and arranged and performed an original composition with the Boston Pops Orchestra at 14. As a bandleader Grace has performed over 600 concerts worldwide in such notable venues as the Hollywood Bowl, Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, Symphony Hall and major festivals such as Montreal, Newport, and Montreux and clubs around the world. Grace has also performed and/or recorded with artists such as Huey Lewis, Harry Connick Jr, Dave Brubeck, Gloria Estefan, Esperanza Spalding, and Wynton Marsalis to name a few. Grace has been featured on CNN.com (Making of a Prodigy), Glamour Magazine (Top Ten College Women 2011), and multiple appearances on NPR. Grace has also won many awards some of which include ASCAP Composer Awards, Downbeat Magazine Awards, Boston Music Awards, FNX/Phoenix Best Music Poll, and multiple International Songwriting Competitions. Now coming into a new stage of her musical career Grace is very excited to have teamed up with legendary Producer Stewart Levine (Hugh Masekela, Simply Red, The Crusaders, Joe Cocker, BB King, Minnie Ripperton, Jamie Cullum) and producer Sunny Levine to work on her new musical direction that she has been headed toward in the development of her new fresh sound. This new direction creates a sound that makes the most of Graces multiple talents backed by Sunny Levine’s creative drumbeats and synth production, and masterfully produced by Stewart Levine.
